Product Recommendation:
Hapbee Technologies
I introduced this in a previous blog post. I have been using it mostly for sleep and productivity for years, but now after listening to this podcast I have been trying different signals like alcohol to replace actual alcohol, nicotine when I really want to focus, or THC and CBD to relax out at the lake. I have never smoked marijuana, so I don’t know how that feels, but do really notice a calming effect.

Hapbee Wearables utilize patented ultra-low radio frequency energy (ulRFE®) technology to emit low-power electromagnetic signals that replicate the unique magnetic signatures of various compounds, such as caffeine, melatonin, and CBD. By delivering these specific frequencies, the device aims to stimulate corresponding bio-receptors in the body, allowing users to experience desired sensations like increased focus, relaxation, or improved sleep without the need to ingest the actual substances.
It isn’t the cheapest item, but it has worked for me and Jodi is going to get the Sleep Pad they introduced in the last couple of years.
Snack Recommendations:
Maui Nui Venison
Maui Nui Venison is a Hawaii-based company that addresses the ecological challenge posed by the overpopulation of invasive Axis deer on Maui. By implementing stress-free, wild-harvesting methods, they ethically manage deer populations to protect the island’s delicate ecosystems.
The harvested venison is processed into a range of products, including ground meat, steaks, bone broth, and jerky, all of which are USDA-inspected and shipped frozen across the United States. This approach not only provides a nutrient-rich, sustainable protein source but also contributes to restoring environmental balance on the island. I eat one of their Peppered Venison sticks each day to help with protein intake. At only 50 calories, no saturated fat and 10 grams of protein this is one of my favorite snacks.
ChocZero
ChocZero, founded in 2016 and based in Fullerton, California, is a food manufacturer specializing in sugar-free, keto-friendly confections. Their product line includes chocolates, syrups, jams, spreads, and baking ingredients, all free from added sugars and sugar alcohols.
Utilizing monk fruit as a natural sweetener, ChocZero aims to provide healthier alternatives without compromising on taste. Their offerings are available through various retailers, including Amazon and Walmart. The company’s mission is to create indulgent treats that allow consumers to enjoy sweets without guilt. At the office, I enjoy an individually wrapped piece of their 92% Cocoa. I am not huge on sweets, but when I want some this is a great go-to!
David Protein Bars
David Protein Bars are designed to deliver a high protein-to-calorie ratio, providing 28 grams of protein with only 150 calories per bar, making them a convenient option for those aiming to increase protein intake without excessive calories.
The protein blend includes milk protein isolate, collagen, whey protein concentrate, and egg white, aiming to offer a complete amino acid profile. Available flavors include Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Blueberry Pie, Fudge Brownie, and Cake Batter. Each day I eat one of these as well. Chocolate Chip Cookie dough is my hands down favorite but really, they are all good. I learned about these on Andrew Huberman’s podcast which I have referenced many times in this blog.
The Quote:
This is a quote from Tom Bilyeu host of Impact Theory Podcast:
“The only belief that matters is that you can learn anything.”
Fixed mindsets kill progress. The growth mindset? That’s your ultimate weapon.
Lastly:
If you’d like to explore all my previous blog posts, you can find them at brianjburesh.com—my personal website that also showcases the various opportunities I’m pursuing. There, you’ll also discover a link to purchase my book, which serves as an introduction to my coaching business designed to help home service companies nationwide. The book has opened doors for me to speak at events, and I look forward to participating in more of these opportunities to help other home service providers build the businesses and lifestyles they aspire to, just as I have in recent years. I’m incredibly grateful to my family, my team, and my customers—thank you all for your ongoing support.
One More Thing…
Blake was home for spring break last week, and as I write this, I’m getting emotional. I honestly find myself wondering, who raised this amazing young man? It surely couldn’t have been Jodi and I—he must have been raised by someone much wiser and calmer than we are. He’s thriving with his grades and, in his own words, is “living his best life.” He even asked me to come to Iowa City to golf with him. Thank you, God, for giving Jodi and me exactly what we could handle. Somehow, despite ourselves, we’ve been blessed with a remarkable young man to be so proud of. Love you, Blake.
